সাভার মডেল কলেজ- একটি প্রতিষ্ঠান একটি আবেগ একটি স্বপ্নের নাম। এর স্বপ্নদ্রষ্টারা ছিলেন আক্ষরিক অর্থেই বিদ্যান্বেষী, বিদ্যোৎসাহী। এরা কেউ বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের শিক্ষক, কেউ সামজ সংস্কারে, কেউ আবার শিক্ষাব্রতে নিবেদিত।
ভাড়া করা বসতবাড়িতেই শুরু হয়েছিল পাঠদান। শোবার ঘরগুলো শ্রেণিকক্ষ আর বসার ঘর পরিণত হয়েছিল শিক্ষক লাউঞ্জে। সাতষট্টি জন শিক্ষার্থী নিয়ে শুরু হয়েছিল স্বপ্নযাত্রা।
সময়টা ১৯৯৬ সাল। সেই সময় তিন কুড়ি সাতজন শিক্ষার্থী নিয়ে রাতদিন স্বপ্ন বুনে যাচ্ছিল মডেল কলেজের শিক্ষক আর উদ্যোক্তাগণ। ২০০২ সালে মডেল কলেজ স্বীকৃত হয় ঢাকা জেলার শ্রেষ্ঠ কলেজ হিসেবে।
